ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY GEOMEDI

The University Geomedi was founded in 1998

The founder of the University is Dr. Mrs. Marina Pirtskhalava.

It is an accredited higher educational Institution by the Georgian National Educational Accreditation Centre (currently the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement).

The University provides the students with the high quality education based on the theoretical knowledge and skills and ensures the graduates with competences necessary for their success in their future career. Lots of the former graduates have succeeded in their medical careers working at the best clinics in Georgia and abroad. Students who successfully graduated from the University will be provided the employment at the University Clinic and its departments.

The Main goal of the University is to provide its students with the skills, tools, and knowledge necessary for their future employment. Students who successfully graduated from the University will be provided the employment at the University Clinic and its departments.

The educational programs and student assessment are based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). 

There are four faculties at the University of undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs:

Medicine

Medical Doctor’s Program (English)

Degree: The Degree of a Medical Doctor – MD (360 credits)

Dentistry

Degree: Doctor of Dental Medicine (300 credits)

Residential Program in Therapeutic Stomatology

ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT AT GEOMEDI UNIVERSITY GEORGIA

Every student has to go through Unified National Examination which is mandatory as per the Georgian Legislation. The international students are free from Unified National Examination. Students living abroad since two or three years having a will to study at the University should contact the appropriate department of the University before the beginning of the year. They have to complete an application online through the web site which has to be then sent to the University with the following documents –

• For Bachelors Programs: - High school leaving certificate and official transcript, order of enrolment (Original or official copy, certified by an advocate). In case of a transfer from another higher education institution – High school leaving certificate and official transcript, order of enrolment (Original or official copy, with certification from an apostle).
• For Master’s Programs: - Bachelors certificate (Diploma) and official transcripts (Original or official copy, both certified by advocate).
